Ever since the release of Youkai Watch video game, Level-5 has been winning! They have released total of three games for Nintendo 3Ds since 2013 and sold over 7 millions units in both retail and digital.
The game was released only in Japan 2 years ago and with the help of the tv show, manga, collectible medals and toys, it has swept the nation with its colorful youkai characters and appealing theme of Japanese folktale specters.
As report shows, it has sold 200 million medals and 10 million books including manga.
The franchise is scheduled to be released in the western region in 2016 as Hasbro is preparing the launch of their merchandise and other multimedia products.
