GIVE THE FRANCHISE A CHANCE, PEOPLE! I tried watching the anime and game. No problems here. The only thing I would say is “bad” is the fact that you have to be patient (patient patient) for some things in the game. Overall, a 7.5/10

Yokai is nothing like Pokemon and if I actually had to choose between them then I’d go with Yokai. I just like it better. The story is more intetesting, the characters have more personality and the game is loads more fun to play because of its touch controls. These idiots better not ruinthis for me. It’s the best monster collecting franchise ever made.

I myself am fan of both Pokemon and Yo-kai Watch, but saying they both have the same gameplay and the same “everything” makes me want to give them a smack to the face, but that would be jerkish of me. So, seeing this article say that both Pokemon and Yo-kai Watch can coexist is very uplifting. (Also, the fanart of Pikachu and Jibanyan is adorable)

Digimon was first in many aspects, first to exist – tomagatchi’s before pokemon cards released, first to anime – digimon anime existed in JP before Pokemon did, it just took longer to come over seas.

Digimon was into existence before Pokemon was, not to mention I don’t believe it was digimon that ripped off evolution. That was Pokemon in their most recent games, taking a wrist watch like device that does mega evolution. I personally love both, they’re very different. I think anyone who’s a fan of both would say that because they actually gave both a CHANCE and can see they’re different concepts and styles.

Digimon’s original and some newer games were either dungeon crawlers with complex evolution requirements or done in a 3D console version of basically a tomagatchi pet. Digimon World 1 and Redigitize were both done in that style. The dungeon crawlers started with Digimon World 2 and continue in the handheld games. While Pokemon in turn has a completely different play style that’s more open world with gyms.

The shows and universes are vastly different, their origins are different, to be honest before pokemon threw out mega evolutions I saw little to no similarities, but that’s just me. Yokai watch doesn’t look like either to me. It looks like a variation kinda like it but not a rip off

I love Youkai Watch as much as Pokemon. I’m gravely disappointed in the Pokemon Community that was quick to snap their “competition”.

…For some reason, I view Youkai Watch as the lighthearted, younger half-sibling of Pokemon.
